This new adventure starts with a few constraints!! Firstly we intend on using the van beginning and end of season, therefore there are going to be extended periods stuck inside due to bad weather. I’m 6′ 8 so headroom and elbow space is a must. Nothing worse for me than not being able to stand upright! And nothing worse for Lin than trying to dodge my elbows in a confined space!!
After many miles of travelling and searching the south coast motorhome dealers we came across the Integra ‘A’ class range from Euramobil, that was it; the Eureka moment had arrived. Head space, a bed long enough, a shower that was sort of large enough and elbow room to give Lin a fighting chance of survival.
Ok so now we had found the type of van needed, but being on a budget all the pros and cons had to be worked out. The range design changes in 2007? To a different construction and loses the sunken living room floor which was key for me.
The van we saw, a 690HB was out of our budget at 34k, but looking around I descovered the German website – Autotrader. de………..wow… how many vans!?!
With the euro exchange rate pretty good at 1.4 and the much cheaper prices of the vans we could save 30%!
So we did!!!
